Early November

Megan spent the first weekend of November with Grandma & Grandpa. It was a beautiful fall weekend.

Halloween 2009

Megan had a great Halloween dressed up as a ladybug. She enjoyed seeing all her friends in costume and especially enjoyed the chocolate. Trick or Treat!

Mid October

Megan has been getting ready for Halloween carving pumpkins and parties with friends!

Wedding in Cleveland

We had a great time in Cleveland with the family - a wedding, tailgate, football game, pumpkin farms, visiting family, etc. What a weekend.

Late September

Megan has been out and about. She ran with Mom & Dad at Northeastern's Big Dog 5K road race along the Charles River and had a great time. She enjoyed seeing "Husky" the mascot and then stopping afterward to see the "Make Way For Ducklings" ducks in the Public Garden.

Mid September

Megan went to the Northeastern University Marine Science Center and got to see and touch the various marine life they have on hand. She also went to the apple orchard to get some fresh apples with Mom & Dad and see the farm animals. What fun!

Labor Day Weekend

Megan had a great Labor Day weekend with some time at the beach and her friend Carter's second birthday party. Carter even had a bouncy house which Megan really enjoyed!

A Visit from Caiden

A few BBQs this weekend. First we headed down the road for a vintage Kirby and Stefan BBQ. Megan may have been the only kid at the party, but that didn't deter her from walking up to everyone and yelling "cheers!" She was also seen chasing the dog (Izzy dog!) around the house. Megan is full of energy!

Our second party was at our house; Matt, Maija, and Caiden stopped by. I was amazed at how much Caiden smiles. Paired with those blue eyes, he is adorable. It was great to catch up! Maija - thanks for the homemade brownies!

Mid- August Events

We have been quite busy in the last few days. We have had hot and humid weather up here, and the best way to combat that was to head to the beach! Megan's beach buddies included Colleen, Jonathan, Papa, Grandma, Mama, and Daddy. When we couldn't make it to the beach, we hung out with Carter in the backyard with our mini-pool or went to the YMCA pool for a quick dip.

We also had a welcomed visit from Katy, Tim, and Nathan. Well, at least Jen and Megan did. I missed you guys! We also celebrated birthdays for Jonathan (1) and Greta (2), and took a tour of Public Safety Day in town - just a bunch of emergency vehicles on a field, but a lot of fun for kids!

Outdoor Pool

Megan was happy to test out the new outdoor pool at the Y on Saturday. It was fun to splash around! We also went out to eat and got to see Sarah's Baptism.

Katie & Mark's Wedding

Megan got dressed up to go see "Cinderella" a.k.a. Mom's friend Katie get married. Megan watched her go into the church to marry her "Prince Charming". It was a beautiful wedding and Mom & Dad enjoyed their first Megan-free evening out in a long time!

Children's Island Visit

Megan took her first boat ride aboard the Hannah Glover to visit a place Jen spent many of her childhood summers - Children's Island. This island is about 2 miles off the coast. We spent the day playing in the pool, throwing rocks at the beach, and getting an insider's tour of the island. It was a trip down memory lane for Jen, and a delightful day for us all.

Mid July

Our old weather pattern of RAIN was back in force this week except for Monday when Megan and Mom went to the beach. But of course we have still been having fun. This coming week is looking better but sadly, summer is half over!!

Sand Sculpture Festival

Megan went to the Sand Sculpture Festival yesterday and also stayed up late to watch the fireworks. Both were a hit and Megan loved saying "boom".
